Our new album “Forgotten Dreams” will be released on Pure Rock Records (part of Pure Steel Records) on 6 December. The album is has already received some great recviews and comments.
We will have copies of the CD available at our gigs coming up in November as well as t-shirts as beautifully modelled below.
We’ll be playing some 1980s old favourites from the “In The Beginning ...” album, and some from our new album including the title track “Forgotten Dreams”.
Keep rockin’ – we’ll see you soon!
“The new album from the NWoBHM-Kult Metal veterans SALEM “Forgotten Dreams” for sure will be one of the best if not even Number one of all english albums being released in this year. The first class production gives the right base for the absolutely fresh songs you might not expect from such “old guys”. Of course the vocals are still totally convincing, so also this important thing for any bans gives no point to criticize. Many bands from the glorious early 80s times don’t keep their high class with their later albums. SALEM do and they set new peaks. Please expect melodic Post-NWo British Heavy Metal in champion’s league quality which will pleasure every Hard Rock, Metal or whatever fan from great hand made music. Every song is a killer! The release date of the SALEM album “Forgotten Dreams” is December 6th, 2013. The preorder phase will start on November 22nd, 2013 in our webshop.” Press Release, Pure Rock Records
“…. The opening riffs of the title track ‘Forgotten Dreams’ is laden with all that is ‘proper’ heavy metal. Power chords, soaring solos, thundering drums and pulsating bass lines all add to the mix of anthemic choruses and harmonies that are so definitely NWoBHM. … … This is an album that has all the qualities of being a classic … … exciting guitar driven Heavy Metal we all love and continue to listen to … …. and this album suggests they here to stay and long may they continue.” Paul Hurst, ReverbNation
“… comeback album of the year as well as one of my top 10 albums of the year! With the album’s offer of variety, it’s well-fashioned and technically savvy approach to song-writing, the epic skill-level of each and every member involved with the new album and a production (courtesy of bassist Abe) that highlights the classic appeal of U.K. heavy metal, “Forgotten Dreams” is an album that I’ve give a “A+” rating to and recommend for anyone and everyone reading this!” Andy, Heavy Metal Time Machine
