Great news, the new album “Forgotten Dreams” is complete. The album will be released in approximately three months through Pure Steel Records, however we will have pre-release copies available on our merchandise table at our gigs in November (see below).
If you can’t wait until then to hear our awesome new album, we are offering the chance to a few lucky Salem supporters to listen to it now!
A small number of supporters will be given access to the new album tracks, and in return we would like you to write a review for our Salem Facebook page. The review doesn’t need to be in brilliant journalistic English, just use your own words. We want people to know what YOU – a true heavy metal fan – think about our new album, and there is no better way of doing this than giving it to us straight – in your own words.
So here’s how it will work:
If you would like to be considered for this, please reply to this post on Facebook,ReverbNation or directly by email. If you are selected, we will send you a link where you can play (but not download) all 13 tracks of Forgotten Dreams. After you have listened to them, write a review in your own words, send it to us and we will post the best reviews on our Facebook page, Reverbantion and website.
– January 18 2014 – Salem – Milan, Italy – POSTPONED TO MARCH – great line-up!! – April 19 2014 – Salem – Very ‘Eavy Festival – Stadskanaal, Netherlands – with bands like Tygers of Pan Tang, our good friends Avenger and Killer and a bunch of other great bands.
“Note newcomer meeting: Salem offer what you get rarely heard in today’s world of rock. “Reach for Eternity” has heard the influence of the seventies, which were heavily crowned by bands like Sweet, but even influences of Rainbow and Deep Purple can not really deny. The sound has something refreshing, something that makes the weary bones back on their feet. “Fighting for the Cause” to fully concurs with the style. The guitar riffs, the bass, everything is harmonious. Here we get a new version of a bygone era in a new guise. In our eyes, a (secret) tip for all old rockers and those who want to be there and of course for all fans of neat rock. [Google translation]” Newcomer-Treff [Germany]
